Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of student participation in learning civics class IV in answering questions, the task group, and concludes the lesson. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in participation of fourth grade students in learning through the model Civics Concept Sentence on SDN 010 Tembilahan Hulu. This research is PTK consisting of two cycles. The subjects were 010 fourth grade students of SDN Tembilahan Hulu, amounting to 24 people. The instrument used was a teacher observation sheet activities, student participation observation sheets, and test results of students' learning in the form of the final test cycle. The results showed an increase in the average percentage of student participation in answering questions, from 56.24% to 81.25% first cycle to the second cycle, while the average percentage of the task group 52.08% increase from the first cycle to 85 , 41% the second cycle, and the average percentage deduction that increased 43.74% from the first cycle to 79.16%. With increasing student participation in the learning Civics impact on the final exam results of students cycle with an average percentage of 51.87 cycle I to cycle II 77.5. So it can be concluded that the learning Civics Concept Sentence using the model can increase the participation of students of class IV SDN 010 Tembilahan Hulu.
