PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS DENGAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN PREDICTION GUIDE DI SDN 23 LOLONG PADANG UTARA
Abstrak
This research is motivated by the lack of motivation and student learning outcomes in social studies learning in SDN 23 Padang Lolong North. Factors that lead to low motivation and student learning outcomes, namely, the learning process of teachers tend to use the lecture method is interspersed with questions and answers, so that students feel saturated resulting in learning. To increase motivation and learning outcomes of students in the learning is done PTK IPS using prediction strategy guide. Subject of study of this class action is the fourth grade students of SDN 23 Padang Lolong North, which amounts to 22 people. The instrument used in this study are: the teaching activities of teachers observation sheet, observation sheet student motivation, student questionnaire sheet, and the sheet the end of the test cycle. Based on the research that has been conducted, the average percentage of indicators of motivation to learn in the first cycle as follows: students listen to the teacher's explanation 49.54%, while the students work together in a discussion group the average percentage of 61.36%. In the second cycle increased as follows: the student listens to the teacher increased to 78.78%, while the average percentage of students collaborated in a discussion group increased to 90.90%. Increased mastery of learning outcomes has increased from 45.45% to 90.90% first cycle to the second cycle. From the research it can be concluded that the IPS learning strategies Prediction Guide can improve motivation and learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SDN 23 Padang Lolong North. Based on the results of this research suggest that teachers can implement strategies in learning IPS Prediction Guide properly in accordance with the material being taught.
