This research aims to improve study result of the IPA in class V elementary school 05 Pasar Muaralabuh sub-district, use method discovery, the subject of research grade V of 20 people. This research was conducted in2 cycle. The findings research shows that the use of a method of discovery could raise study result of the science. The increase can be seen from the average study result of the cognitive cycle I namely 59 with exhaustiveness 60 % increased to 80, 5 with exhaustiveness , 95 % in cycles II with increased 21,5, Study result of the affective cycle I, 68 % increased to 81,5 % in cycles II, with increased 13.4 %.Study result of the psychomotor the first of a cycle 74,5 % increased to 84 % in cycles II, with increased 9.5 %. Based on research findings over, and the result inconclusive that a method of discovery could increase learning in science class V elementary school 05 Pasar muaralabuh, and can be employed as one alternative to implement science learning in elementary school.
