Abstract

The minimum result of student’s achievement and minimum activity in learning process caused by the students who do not prepare their self before study, they don’t have any confidence to ask any questions, and they found the difficulties to ask something, and un-effective process in exercise. To solve this problem, one solution that can be done is spotlight technique by using “calling card” in mathematic teaching learning on VII grade students. From the observation activity and the worksheet that analyzed by t-test, the result showed that there was improvement of activity during learning process and by using “calling card” the students achievement is better than conventional learning on VII grade at SMPN 7 Padang.
