Purpose of research is about how to improve the learning activities of students especially for 5th class in IPA subject by using informatics search strategy at SD N 40 Bukit Gado gado south Padang. In this strategy, students make a group to find some information on books, and answers that teacher’s question. This research is using two cycle, each cycle consist of one meeting and one test. In first cycle, average result is 50,00% students asked and 46,87% answered the question, and 37,50% express opinions. Second cycle is 78,12% students asked and 87,50% answered the question, and 71,87% express opinions. So the conclusion is informatics search strategy increase the learning activities of students especially for 5th class in IPA subject at SD N 40 Bukit Gado gado south Padang. Therefore, informatics search strategy suggested in IPA subject for teachers in learning activities at Elementary schools.
