EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL TYPE GROUP THE INVESTIGATION STARTED WITH GIVING LEARNING OUTCOMES OF BIOLOGY QUIZ CLASS VIII SMPN 18 PADANG

Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model group investigation that started by giving a quiz on the material movement in plant biology to the learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMP 18 Padang. Type experimental study was conducted using purposive sampling techniques, experimental class class is a class VIII.6 the number of students and class 34 class VIII.7 control is the number of students 34. The data in this study is primary data in the form of test results to learn further processed with t test. From the analysis of the data obtained tcount (1.73)> t table (1.67). The influence of the type of learning model kooperaatif group investigation that begins with a quiz giving a positive effect on student learning outcomes biology class VIII SMP 18 Padang. The results obtained studying the cognitive value - average class experiment (77.81) is higher than the value - average class cognitive control (73.06). Value - average affective experimental class (70) is higher than the value - average affective control class (66) and the value - average psychomotor domain of the experimental class (71) is also higher than the value - average control class (70) . From the study it can be concluded, the implementation of learning using cooperative learning model group investigation that begins with a quiz giving a positive effect on student learning outcomes biology.
