Abstract

Based on the observation that have done at SMPN 2 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman November 4-5, 2013 have seen that when the learning process the teacher just wrote the subjek and give some example of questions. Teacher give exercise for each students. Most of them imitated their friends answer. Because of that teacher have to try apply certain learning model. One of the learning model that apply by teacher is cooperatif learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT). This research was purpose to know how the students math learning activity when apply the learning used cooperatif learning model type NHT and know what was the result of the students math learning that the learning used cooperatif learning model type NHT better than the reslt study math of students by learning conventional at class VII SMPN 2 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman. This research is experiment research then objek in this research consist of two sampel class, experiment class and control class. In experiment class used cooperatif learning model type NHT, where as in control class by using conventional learning. Result of this research was conclude that students learning activity that used cooperatif learning model type NHT at class VII SMPN 2 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman disposed have progress and the result of the students math learning that used learning model type NHT better than used conventional learning.
