TINGKAT PARTISIPASI POLITIK PEMILIH PEMULA DALAM PEMILIHAN KEPALA DAERAH DI KABUPATEN KERINCI TAHUN 2013

Abstract

Background of this research is low of politics knowledge novice voters in Kabupaten Kerinci. This research generate to reviewing of politics orientation in Pilkada Kabupaten Kerinci, reviewing of beginner chooser perception about importance participation of Pilkada Kabupaten Kerinci, and to reviewing the factors that affect beginner chooser in participation of Pilkada Kabupaten Kerinci. Kind of research that used is descriptive research, data that research have (like picture, exspression, behavior). Instrumentation that used are observation, interview, documentation, also giving questionnaire to support collecting data in qualitative. Result of research show that orientation politics level of beginner chooser in Kabupaten Kerinci are 128 chooser (55,66%) from 230 respondence, by there are socialization by KPU towards Pilkada given additional knowledge about importance of politics participation to beginner chooser, even it in campaign, implementation of choosing, and result of counting. This, beginner chooser can use their authorization well. Next, inhibitors factors are beginner chooser daily activities that the novice voters more concerned with personal affairs than Pilkada affairs, feeling of not being able to participate within the ranks of commite members in Pilkada Participation, and there are prohibition from family Pilkada to participate in Pilkada and passions factors is curiousity in participation and political. Awareness of the novice voters will be an obligation as Indonesian citizens.
