Abstrak

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to determine differences in the biology of learning out comes given the application of Problem Based Learning Model of Instruction (PBI) with conventional learning on eighth grade students of SMP N 3 Kecamatan Harau. This type of research is experimental research, the population is all the eighth grade students of SMP all 3 Keamatan Harau enrolled in the academic year 2013/2014. Sampling study conducted by purposive sampling technique. Learning outcomes are observed cognitive test results were seen from the end of the study, whereas affective and psychomotor domains using the observation sheet. The results showed that the learning outcomes in the experimental class is higher than in the control class, where the average cognitive learning outcomes in the experimental class is 83,23, while the control class 72,26, the average learning outcomes in the affective domain of experimental class was 90,98 while the control class soon is 76,29. Average psychomotor learning domains in the experimental class and the control class is 86,09 77,48. The data were subsequently processed results of the final test with the t test. The results of the analysis of the obtained t of 5,24 and 1,67 ttable then tcount> ttable. (α 0.05), so the hypothesis that use acceptable. From the results of the study concluded that there are differences in students' learning outcomes biology SMP 3 Kecamatan Harau using problem based learning model Instruction (PBI).
