PENULISAN KESALAHAN KATA PADA MEDIA MASSA KORAN SINGGALANG EDISI BULAN MEI 2014

ABSTRACT

 

 

This research aimed to describe the mistake of words on the discourse of Singgalang Newspaper. This research used theory, Lamuddin Finoza, Gorys Keraf and Abdul Chaer about theory of this research was words, formal and non formal words. Type of this research was qualitative research by using descriptive method. Object of this research was the mistake of writing the word on the discourse of Singgalang Newspaper.  This research use technique 1) reading the discourse of newspaper, 2) highlight the mistaken words, 3) grouped the mistaken words, 4) analysis, 5) draw the conclusion of analysis result. Based on technique and data analysis, thus the result of this research showed that there were still the mistaken words on mass media of Singgalang Newspaper. The result of this research was obtained based on the analysis the discourse toward Singgalang Newspaper edition from 7 May to 31 May 2014 with total mistaken words on the discourse in Singgalang Newspaper about 43 words. Based on the result of research can be concluded that the mistaken writing of words on the discourse in Singgalang Newspaper on may 2014 there were still many mistaken words especially in the form of formal and informal words.
