ABSTRACT

The researsch ofchildren'sspeech actof politenesstoeldersinPauhKamangMudiak KecamatanKamangMagekKabupaten Agam, was consideredimportantbecause itwas an attempttoexploreandunderstand thelanguageof gratitudeMinangkabaulanguageinuseineveryday lifeasaform ofvernacularpelestraian.This studyaimed to describekesantuanMinangkabaulanguageinspeech actschildrentoolder peopleinPauhKamangMudiakKecamatan KamangMagekKabupaten Agam. This research was descriptivequalitative researchmethodproposed byMoleong. The results ofthis studyfoundthatchildrenin theNagariPauhKamangMudiak, KecamatanKamangMagekonolder peopleclassified as lesspolite. Of thefiveaspects of thedirectivespeech actsobserved, thespeech actis themost commonspeech actsdirectivetellsas much as6data, thedirectivespeech actpleading, demanded, andsuggested, that eachspeech act4the datawhile thechallengeis2the datafromthe data20directivespeech actin thechildolder peoplewere observedbased onthe results ofdata analysis, it can be concludedthatlinguistic politenessinspeech actMinangkabauchildrentoolder peopleinPauhKamangMudiakKecamatan Kamang Magek Kabupaten Agam classified as lesspolite.
