Abstract

This research is motivated by low interest and learning outcomes student class five in the learning listening in  Village Elementary School 20 Koto Langang Pesisir Selatan. The purpose of this research was to describe the interest and learning outcomes  student class five in  the learning listening in Village Elementary School 20 Koto Langang Pesisir Selatan with strategy lightening the learning climate. While reference for strategy lightening the learning climate put forward by Mel Silberman, to theory Listening put forward by  Djago Tarigan. Kind this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which execute in two cycles. Subjects research is students class five Village Elementary School 20 Koto Langang Pesisir Selatan. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet student interest, teacher activity sheets, student interest sheet and learning outcomes. Based on analysis of student interest, the percentage of student interest in each cycle had enhancement. In the first cycle of 55,83% increased to 86,66% in the second cycle. Thoroughness of student learning outcomes also enhancement in the first cycle of 65,00% increased to 85.00% in the second cycle. From the result can be concluded that there are enhancement interest and learning outcomes student class five in learning listening in Village Elementary School 20 Koto Langang Pesisir Selatan with strategy Lightening The Learning Climate.
