The purpose of this research was to describle the increase in interest and student learning outcomes through the model Guided Note Taking. Applied research method is amethod of action research. This research was conducted in two cycle, each cycle consisting of to meetings. The research subjects were students of class IV in SDN 31 Koto Pulai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, totalling 22 peoples. Reserach instruments used in the study is the observation sheet student interest, teacher observation sheet activity and achievement test. Based on the results of research conducted in the fourth grade at SDN 31 Koto Pulai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan , Guided Note Taking use shown to increase student interest and learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average of student’s interest first cycle of 53,03% increased to 77,27% in cycle 2 (24,24% increase). In addition, the thoroughness of student learning outcomes also increase seen from the test results of student evaluation cycle 1 with an average percentage of completeness 59,09% increase in cycle 2 the average completeness 81,82% (22,73% increase). Based on the above can be said that the model Guided Note Taking can increase interest and student learning outcomes. It is advisable for the teacher to be able to use the model Guided Note Taking in implementing the learning civics.
