Abstrak

Abstract

 

Research purpose is to describe an increase in activation and learning outcomes of students in learning science through The Great Wind Blows method in class II-A SDN 07 Kinali West Pasaman. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was commissioned jointly. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings (including meetings of the final test). Subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN 07 Kinali, which amounts to 25 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet student activation, teacher observation sheet activities, sheet student questionnaire and achievement test. Based on the results of the analysis carried out is known that the average final exam scores first cycle was 48%, with a percentage of 74% mastery learning. Meanwhile the average final exam scores second cycle was 84%. From the analysis of student activation observation sheet obtained by the average percentage in the first cycle was 60%. In the second cycle the average percentage of activated students who obtained 79%. From the results of this study concluded that learning science by using The Great Wind Blows can increase student activation, answer questions, express opinions, answer questions, and organize games at SDN 07 Kinali West Pasaman. Based on these results, the researchers suggest that teachers can use The Great Wind Blows methods in science teaching well to increase student activation and learning outcomes.
