ABSTRACT

This research was motivated by the low math learning outcomes of students in first grade SDIT Mekah 2 Marhamah Muaralabuh Solok Selatan. This is because researchers have not props right in instilling the concept of learning. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes grade 1 Mekah 2 SDIT Marhamah  Muaralabuh Solok Selatan. Dienes Blocks props are props that serve to teach the concept of place value of a number to make it easier to resolve reduction surgery. This research is a class act located in SDIT Marhamah Muaralabuh Solok Selatan, the number of students 21. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research instrument is a test of student learning outcomes and teacher observation sheet activities. The findings showed that the use of props Dienes Blocks can improve the learning outcomes of mathematics. This increase can be seen from the number of students who can reach the KKM in the first cycle is 55.6% increased to 85% in the second cycle with an increase of 29.4%. Based on the research and findings can be concluded that the use of props Dienes Blocks can improve the learning outcomes of first grade SDIT Mekah 2 Marhamah  Muaralabuh Solok Selatan, and can be used as an alternative to improve learning outcomes matemataika.
