Abstract

 

                This research is caused by the lack of participation and learning outcomes of students in learning science. In the learning process teachers use the lecture method. When the teacher explains the lesson, the student wishes to ask, answer, analyze lessons and tasks in groups is still lacking, which caused low learning outcomes. The purpose of the study to describe increased participation and learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 12 Batang Anai Pariaman using cooperative learning model scramble. The study was conducted two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one session for the final test. From the research that has been obtained that the average value of  learning out comes the first cycle of   67.30 with 65.21% passing grade and the average value of the learning at the second 80.52 with 82.60% passing grade. The average yield observation sheet analysis of student participation gained from observer at the first cycle is 46.66% to 79.34% at the second cycle. The final conclusion is that science learning with cooperative learning model Scramble can increase participation and learning outcomes in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 12 Batang Anai Pariaman. Researchers suggest that teachers can implement cooperative learning model Scramble in learning science for a different material.
