Abstrak

ABSTRACT

 

The background of this research is decreasing of students’ participation in learning, The purpose this research is to describe students’ participation in the discussion, presented the results of the discussion, and concluded lessons, and do tasks that giving by the teacher in learning Civic using Jigsaw models. This research is a kind of classroom action research. The subject of this research is students grade IV 03 of Sungai Aur Elementary School that consists of 25 students. The instrument of this research is teacher’s observation sheet, observation of students’ participation sheet, the value of learning test, documentary activity, and note field. The result of cycle I shows the quality of teacher’s activity around 65,38%, and cycle II 88,91%. Cycle I the percentage of students’ in the discussion 56%, presented the results of the discussion 60% and concluded lessons 60%, while cycle II the percentage in the discussion 70%, presented the results of the discussion 74% and concluded lessons 70%. The mean of the test result of student’s learning in cycle I show 66,44 increase to be 73,40 cycle II.  While students who achieve 56% KKM cycle I increased 76% in cycle II. Means that the goal of indicator in this research can be reach and the models of jigsaw in civic is done. Based on the research can be resuming that student’s IV participation in learning civic through jigsaw models.
