ABSTRACT

 

Purpose of this study was to describe the values of education in traditional Minangkabau expression in the village of Kampung Olo Nanggalo Padang districts, as well as the meaning of the expression values of education in traditional Minangkabau expression in the village of Kampung Olo Nanggalo District of Padang. Theory used in this study are those of Danadjaya about folklore, the meaning of the phrase, as well as educational values used by Setiadi theory. This research is a descriptive qualitative research method. This data was obtained by recording the expression conveyed by the informant. object of this study is pendididikan values in traditional Minangkabau expression in the village of Kampung Olo Nanggalo District of Padang. Based on the research results can be summarized as follows: (1) there are 62 traditional expressions developed in Kampung Olo Nanggalo District of Padang Padang. (2) meaning that sometimes the traditional expression is an implied meaning. (3) the values of the Minangkabau traditional education are values amounted to 22 expressions of religious education, social education value totaling 15 expression, and the value of cultural education amounted to 14 expressions.
