Abstrak

Abstract

 

The problem of this study is the low student mathematics learning oucomes , the lack of student’ understanding of mathematics concepts , student activity during the learning and use of learning methods are not suitable for learning mathematics . The purpose of this research is to increase the activity and student learning outcomes VII class student  of  SMPN 4 SMF south through the Jigsawcooperative learning model . Type of research is

Classroom Action Research (CAR). The experiment was conducted in SMPN 4 South Solok graders research the  subject VII.D SMPN 4 South Solok totaling 32 people , consisting of 18 men and 14 women . The research was conducted in the first semester of academic year 2012/2013 . This study used quantitative andqualitative data . Quantitative data is obtained from the value list of student learning outcomes , and the qualitative data is obtained from direct observation by observer . The results showed that an increase in the activity of the students from he first cycle and second cicle at the end of the study activitivities of the sudents achieving either category . Student learning  otcomes also improved , as shown by an increase in the percentage of students who achieve KKM , less well in the first cycle , the second cycle in creased to correspond to a predetermined KKM .For the Jigsaw cooperative learning model to improve the activity and the results of students’ macthematics learning .
