STRUKTUR, MAKNA DAN FUNGSI UNGKAPAN KEPERCAYAAN RAKYAT: STUDI KASUS JORONG SENTOSA NAGARI PADANG GELUGUR, KECAMATAN PADANG GELUGUR KABUPATEN PASAMAN

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to describe (1) expressives form, (2) structure and meaning according to Parare (1990) and (3) the function of society believe expression, at Jorong Sentosa Nagari kecamatan Padang Gelugur kabupaten Pasaman. This research used theory stated by Danandjaya (1991) about folklore, meaning of utterances and function of their utterances and meaning according to Parare (1990). This research was qualitative research by using descriptive method. The collection of data was taken by recording the utterances from related informants. Object of this research was people belief in their utterances at Jorong Sentosa Nagari Padang Gelugur of Gelugur District in Pasaman Regency. Based on the resulf of this research can be concluded as follows: frist, there were 42 oral folklore form, and 10 a part oforal in folklore in society belief utterances which developed at Jorong Sentosa Nagari Padang Gelugur kecamatan Padang Gelugur kabupaten Pasaman. Second, structure the people belief in their utterances consisted of two model, those are 1) consisted of causal effect with 49 utterances, and 2) consisted of marked, convention, causal effect with 3 utterances, the meaning of related utterances have implicit meaning through their element and structure of utterances. Third, function of people belief in their  utterances in education typed with total 19 utterances, forbidden in 15, remembering in 14,and entertaining in  4 utterances.
