IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES LEARNING CLASS V IPS THROUGH THE LEARNING MODEL INVESTIGATION IN GROUP SDN 13 KINALI KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT

This research is motivated by the lack of activity of students in fifth grade social studies learning SDN 13 Kinali Pasaman West. The low activity of the students indicated there were 25 students 5 students (20%) were actively asking questions, 4 students (16%) who answered the question, 6 students (24%) were active in the discussion. One of the ways that can be used to overcome this problem is to use a learning model Group Investigation. The problem of this research is how to increase student learning activities on learning social studies classes V through Group Investigation model in SDN 13 Kinali. While the goal is to describe an increase in the activity of student learning in the fifth grade social studies learning through Group Investigation model in SDN 13 Kinali Pasaman West. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings (including meetings of the cycle for the final exam). The subjects were 13 fifth grade students of SDN Kinali West Pasaman, which amounts to 25 people. The research instrument used in this study is the observation of student activity sheets, teacher observation sheet activities, field notes, test results and documentation of student learning. Based on the analysis of student activity sheets observation in asking questions during the process of learning social studies results obtained in the first cycle was 54%, increased in the second cycle to 74%. Activity of students in answering questions during the process of learning social studies results obtained in the first cycle was 58%, increased in the second cycle to 78%. Activity of students in a discussion of cooperation in groups during the learning process of social studies results obtained in the first cycle was 70%, increased in the second cycle to 78%. Can be deduced by using the Group Investigation model on social studies learning can be improved student learning activities.
