Abstract


Mathematics learning was centered on the teacher. Student are also often constrained by the example given by the teacher. The purpose of this research is cooperative learning scramble type take effect on activity and student’s achievement. The research subjects of eighth grade students of SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang in 2013/2014, as many 42 students. This type of research is experimental research. The sampling technique used is random sampling. Research instruments is observation sheet and student’s achievement test. The data of activity were analyzed by percentage and increasing student activity each meeting. The data student’s achievement were analyzed by using analysis of the average difference using t-test, = 2,19 dan         = 1,667 because  >  , So accepted. Thus we can conclude cooperative learning scramble type take effect on activity and student’s achievement.
