PERWATAKAN TOKOH UTAMA DALAM NOVEL KUINGIN JADI SAJADAHMU KARYA FAHRI F. FATHONI

ABSTRACT

 

This research aimed to describe nature of main character contained in the novel Kuingin Jadi Sajadahmu  by Fahri F. Fathoni. This research used theory about art stated by Semi, and the theory about character put forward by Aminuddin, Said Hamid Hasan, and Sobour. This study was a qualitative research that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the observed behavior. The method of this research used descriptive method, the data was collected in the form of words instead of numbers. The data analysis techniques were: (1) Describe the concept of data according to the character. (2) classify the data. (3) analyze all the data that has been grouped. (4) Summing up the overall results of the data analysis. From the research, it was found nature of main character as much as 16 and a lot of dispositive data found as many as 46 main characters of data. There are three main characters in the novel of Kuingin Jadi Sajadahmu by Fahri F. Fathoni, they are Fira Anggraheni, Robert Brady, and Taufik. The character of Fira Anggraheni (I) was described as having a good character, self-sufficient, responsible, religious, hard work, social care, honest, the spirit of nationality, recognize excellence, flegmaciti (the calm), nerveuzen (the skittish), sentimental (the seducer), and peace-loving. Robert Brady’s character was described as having an evil character, curiosity, cholerici (the fierce), and nerveuzen (the skittish). Taufik’s character was described as having the character of responsibility, hard work, love of peace, patriotism, and curiosity. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the main character in the novel of Kuingin Jadi Sajadahmu  by Fathoni tends to have a responsible character, religious, and hard work.
