Abstrak

Abstract            

 The process of learning mathematics at SMPN 3 Payakumbuh was still dominated by the teachers as the source of information and less of interaction between teachers and students. As a result the student’s learning outcoms was low. One of the efforts were done to solve this problems were by implementing an active learning strategy type giving questions and getting answers. This research was porose to know is the result of math study the student with using giving questions and getting answers strategy is better than using conventional learning . This research was an experimental research, Its population is a student of class VII SMP 3 Payakumbuh listed in 2013/2014. The technique for taking of sample by using random sampling than got VII4 becomes the experimental class and the control class is VII5. Scores of student learning is processed by using the t test. Processing results show the value of     thitung = 7.1101 and ttabel = 1.669 at 95% confidence level It turns out that the value of thitung > ttabel. Thus can be concluded that the mathematic students result of the students by using giving questions and getting answers strategy is better than using conventional learning  in class VII SMPN 3 Payakumbuh.
