Abstract

           

This research was motivated by the low student motivation in the learning proces. It is seen from while the teacher explains the lesson, still have some students who don’t pay attention to the teacher and busy with their friends. Purpose of this research is to describe the increase the motivation and learning outcomes of students in learning mathematics using Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning strategies. The research is a classroom action research conducted by two cycles with 4 meetings. The research subjects were fourth grade students who were 18 people. Instruments used was a teacher observation sheet activity, student motivation questionnaire sheets, flied notes, and test result to learn. Based on the the analysis of students motivation questionnaire in cycle I obtained an average percentage of 57,28% and cycle II whereas the average percentage obtained was 74,54%. This means that the implementation of learning mathematics using Practice Reheartsal Pairs stategy is progressing well. It can be concluded that the research of mathematics by using the Practice Rehearsal Pairs strategy can improve students motivation and learning outcomes. Researchers suggest that teachers can use learning strategies Practice Rehearsal Pairs as an alternative in creating an effective learning environment and fun
