Abstrak

Study Role of Civil Service Police Unit in Control of street children in the city of Padang. This study aims to obtain any role do municipal police in curbing street children in the city of Padang, the type of research used qualitative descriptive method. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. This research information municipal police officers, employees of the Department of Social and Labor, street children and citizens. The focus in this study there are three 1. How Pre-emptive role of municipal police in curbing street children in the city of Padang, 2. How is the role of preventive municipal police in curbing street children in the city of Padang 3. Constraints faced any municipal police in curbing Street Children and Mitigation efforts were made by the Government in the Development of Street Children in the city of Padang. Based on the results of this research is that the role of municipal police in curbing child socialization coaching street legal products means giving them the sense that there are rules (Regulation) which regulate the existence of their community, while the control is done in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Labor for further guidance. Constraints municipal police in curbing street children have not been equally good understanding of the local work unit environment and society to curb street children, the enforcement of current legislation Less personnel, there is no pattern of sustainable development, while the efforts made in the development of street children who come from Padang to provide guidance to steer the street children to pursue a variety of skills, conduct discharge coming from outside the city of Padang to the place of origin of each.
