Abstrak

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes with the use of Cooperative Learning Model Group Investigation (GI) Starting Task Summarizing Against Biology Student Learning Outcomes Junior Class VII Kartika 1-7 Padang, the of  perspective in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. This research is experimental research design only randomized control design. The population of this study were all students of class VII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang which consists of 6 classes. In this study required two classes for the sample that the experimental class and the control class. To determine the class of the sample used purposive sampling technique by performing random, the importance of the experimental class is a class of 32 students VII.1 the number of people and the control class is the class VII.6 the number of students 31 people. In cognitive learning outcomes obtained average value is 77.81 -rata experimental class is higher than the average value of cognitive control class is 73.06. Value - average affective experimental class that is 71.4 higher than the average value of the affective domain control class that is 67.5 and the average value of the psychomotor experimental class is 72.1, also higher than the average value of the control class ie 66.2. From the analysis of the data by t test obtained t value (3.14) ˃ t table (1.67). Therefore, the proposed hypothesis can be accepted. So it can be concluded, that there is an influence of the application of learning models of type Group Investigation (GI) to the learning outcomes of students of class VII junior biology Kartika 1-7 Padang 2013/2014 school year.
