Abstract

Studying process of mathematics at SMP 4 Linggo Sari Baganti was still dominated by teacher while many students was not active. Generally they just receive what the teacher explained. When the teacher gave them chance to ask, only a few students ask about what the teacher explained. It made difficult to know whether the students understand the material that had been explained by the teacher or not. The lack of student’s activities in studying was expected causing the student’s result of studying low. One of the efforts that was done to resolve the problem was cooperative studying model with bowling campus strategy. Based on the data of research that was analyzed was found that the result of studyingmathematics by using cooperative studying model with bowling campus strategy better than the result of studying mathematics by using conventional studying at nine grade students of SMP 4 Linggo Sari Baganti.
