Abstrak
This study was motivated by the learning process IPS has not run as expected . Teachers tend to use the lecture method in the learning process, not given directly to the student experience, still using the lecture method. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in the fourth grade social studies SDN 10 Bulantiak. This study is a Class Action Research . This study is located at SDN 10 Bulantiak , fourth grade students study subjects totaling 16 people. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. The research findings show that the use of Problem Based Learning model can improve learning hasi IPS. Such improvements can be seen from the average student learning outcomes IPS first cycle was 59.4. In the second cycle of 77.5. While the percentage of students in the first cycle of activity that is 72.5 %. In the second cycle of 80 % Based on the research and the findings above, it can be concluded that the use of Problem Based Learning Model to improve learning outcomes in social studies class IV in SDN 10 Bulantiak, and can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes.
