EFFECT COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL THINK OF SQUARE PAIR OF CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION LEARNING CLASS XI SMAN 7 KERINCI

Abstrak

This research is motivated because there are still many students who are less active because the learning process is centered on the teacher. Most students simply record what the material presented by the teacher, without understanding the material provided by the teacher. In the learning process there is still a sleepy students and many students ask permission to leave. This leads to the absence of improving student learning outcomes and the average value of the overall student mastery only 59.2775 whereas Minimum Criteria (KKM) which has been implemented school is 73, this shows the average value at the time the student is under criteria Mastery minimum (KKM). One way that can be done to improve student learning outcomes is to use cooperative learning model Think Pair Square or commonly abbreviated with TPSq, TPSq cooperative learning model is a structural implementation of cooperative learning activities that allow students to interact and participate more to others, which requires social skills, namely by way of discussion. This research was conducted at SMAN 7 Kerinci which aims to: 1.) Seeing the increased activity of students in the learning process Civics when used cooperative learning model TPSq. 2) Looking at the influence of the use of cooperative learning model TPSq on learning outcomes Civics class XI student of SMAN 7 Kerinci. 3.) Looking at improving student learning outcomes after the use of cooperative learning model TPSq. The type of instrument used to see an improvement in the learning outcomes of this study is to learn the results of tests, interviews, observation sheets, and documentation. These results indicate an increase in student learning outcomes after the use of cooperative learning model type XI IPA2 TPSq at SMAN 7 Kerinci the average value is only 60.5 becomes 80.83. This shows that the cooperative learning model TPSq both used in the learning process Civics.
