This research of background by lack of skill read student at study of Indonesian. Problems faced from student facet for example is lazy student read this in proving when teacher ask student to read a student reading oppositely; also chat with its friends, this result student find difficulties in comprehending reading content and make reading summary, problems faced from facet learn for example because of teacher only ordering direct student read existing reading text in package book. Pursuant to theory used by both of the same Husnal Hidayati with researcher use Articulatory model. Target of this research is to uplift skill to read piercingly of student in class of IV SD Negeri 21 Purus Kec. Padang Barat by using Articulatory model. This Research represent Research Of Action Class ( PTK). this Subjek Research of class student of IV amounting to 14 people. Target of this research is to know do usage of Articulatory model can uplift skill to read student. This research is done/conducted in two cycle. Research Instrument which is used in this research is teacher observation sheet, student observation sheet and of tes result of learning. Pursuant to result of done/c onducted research in SD Negeri 21 Purus Kec. Padang Barat, usage of proven Articulatory model can uplift skill to read the understanding of student. This can be seen from skill mean read piercing mount from cycle of I with complete mean 52, mounting at cycle of II complete mean 77,42 ( increase 25,42). Pursuant to the mentioned can be told Articulatory model can uplift skill to read piercingly of student in executing study read
