TINJAUAN PEMANFAATAN LABORATORIUM BIOLOGI KELAS XI IPA SEMESTER I DI MAN PALANGKI SIJUNJUNG TAHUN AJARAN 2013/2014

Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to know the relation of the laboratory utilization with the study result of biology students of XI Science class in the first semester in MAN Palangki Sijunjung. This kind of research is descriptive research with 43 people as the population for the research. The technique of taking the samples is using Purposice Sampling. The research instruments such asquestionnaires and the result of students’ study are processed by using SPSS 16.  The result of data analysis obtained the average scores and standard deviation from the sub-variable from the higher to the lower, sub-variable preparation and implementation of practicum 22,12±1.65, the condition of laboratory 21,58±2.21, the activities of laboratory 14,95±0.21, the report of practicum evaluation 14,51±2.71, and the time of practicum implementation 10,9±1.93. The result of research shows the big influence, linear regression equation y= 0,766x + 21,23, correlation coefficient (r)= 0,908, and coefficient of determination (R²)= 0,825 that means it has 82,5% the effect of laboratory utilization for the result of students’ biology subject. According to the result of the research, it is important for the school to optimize the time. So, the practicum that has implemented will has the beneficial for the students to help them understand for the material. For the next research is recommended to continue the research on aspects of psychomotor, affective and teachers.
