Researchers have not been using the method according to the material in the learning process, not directly to the student experience, still using the lecture method. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of sixth grade social studies students of SDN 03 Pekonina Kabupaten Solok Selatan the use of this method is CTL. Penelitian Classroom Action Research. This study is located at SDN 03 Pekonina, sixth grade students study subjects totaling 20 people. This research was conducted in two cycles. Results of research on student understanding in the first cycle with the classical average is 68, and the completeness of 60 %. In the second cycle increased to 76, with 85 % completeness, increased by 25 %. Students' ability to distinguish the material first cycle with the classical average is 68, and 65 % completeness. In the second cycle increased to 77.5 with 85 % mastery. increased by 20 %. The ability of students to tell in the first cycle with an average of 66.5 in the classical style and mastery 55 %. In the second cycle increased to 78.5 completeness 85 %, increased by 30 %. Based on the above findings of this study concluded that, CTL method can improve the results of the sixth grade social studies students of SDN 03 Pekonina, and can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes .
