Abstrak

This research is motivated by the professionalism of teachers who have passed the certification PPKn in mastering the learning material, as well as an understanding of the competence of teachers Pedagogy, Social, Personality, and Professional. This study aims to: (1) To see the professionalism of teachers who passed the certification of educators PPKn high schools in the District Dharmasraya. (2) To see the effectiveness of certification in improving the professionalism of teacher performance PPKn high school in the District Dharmasraya Negri. This type of research is descriptive. The instruments used are interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study indicate that teachers have mastered the Pedagogic competence, professional competence, personal competence and social competence as it should, which includes teachers' mastery of the learning materials, develop learning materials, understand the learning materials available in the school curriculum, acting objektip to learners, develop concepts into everyday life of learners in accordance with the Implementation Plan (RPP) which will be discussed in the learning material. Through teacher certification programs are expected to have a high loyalty to the development of education in Indonesia, so that education in Indonesia is not far behind from other countries
