Abstrak

This research of background by interest of writer to novel of Saat untuk Menaruh Dendam dan Saat untuk Menaburkan Cinta masterpiece of Julius R. Siyaranamual, especially the problem of Language style used by author. This research aim to for the mendeskripsikan of Language style exist in in novel of Saat untuk Menaruh Dendam dan Saat untuk Menaburkan Cinta masterpiece of Julius R. Siyaranamual. Theory which is used in this research is theory told by Gorys Keraf ( 2009) which studying about language style and diction. this Research type is research qualitative with descriptive method in the form of words written. Result of research indicate that there are usage of figurative Language style and Language style of retoris. For the style of found figurative Language : ( 1) equation Language style 5 data, ( 2) Language style of metonimia 1 data, ( 3) irony Language style 1 data. While Language style of retoris found : ( 1) Language style of apofasis 1 data, ( 2) style of speaking eufemismus 1 data, and ( 3) hyperbola Language style 23 data. Language style which do not be found by is Language style of personifikasi, metaphor, allegory, alusi, eponim, epitet, sinekdoke, antonimiasia, hipalase, satire, innuendo, antifasi, paronomasia, alliteration, assonance, anastrof, apofastrof, asidenton, polisindeton, kiasmus, ellipsis, litotes, hysteron, ploenasme, perifasis, prolepsis, erotesis, silepsis, koreksio, paradox, and Language style of eksimoron. Pursuant to result of data analysis can be concluded that most dominant Language style used in novel of Saat untuk Menaruh Dendam dan Saat untuk Menaburkan Cinta masterpiece of Julius R. Siyaranamual is hyperbola Language style.
