PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI METODE INKUIRI PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 27 SAGO PESISIR SELATAN

Abstrak

This study aimed to describe the increase in activity and learning outcomes of students in learning science using inquiry methods in SDN 27 Sago. This study is a Class Action Research conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2014/2015 in SDN 27 Sago South Coastal District. Subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 27 Sago South Coastal District totaling 16 students. The study was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research instrument in the form of text matter in the form of objective, essays and observations of student activity sheets and aspects of the teacher. The results showed an increase in activity of the first cycle students first meeting and 52.08% at the second meeting has risen 64.58%. With an average of 58.33% of student activity. Cycle II 85.42% the first meeting and the second meeting has risen 93.75% and an average of 89.58% of student activity. The average results of student learning first cycle completeness 64.6 with 43.75% and in the second cycle is 79.4 to 87.5%. Based on the results of this study concluded that the use of inquiry method can improve the activity and learning outcomes in science learning in class IV SDN 27 Sago South Coastal District. It is therefore recommended to teachers to be able to use the method of inquiry in science teaching in elementary school.
