PENINGKATANMOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING PADA SISWA KELAS V SDN 27 SAGO

Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase of motivation and learning outcomes of students in science learning through model Snowball Throwing in SDN 27 Sago Pesisir Selatan. This study is a Class Action Research (CAR) implemented in the first semester of the school year 2014/2015 in SDN 27 Sago Pesisir Selatan. The subjects were students of class V SDN 27 Sago Pesisir Selatanconsists of 16 students. This study was done in two cycles with two meetings at each cycle. The results showed an increase of students' motivation in asking from  62.5% to 84.4%, the motivation of students to answer questions from 56.3% to 90.7%, and students’  motivation in doing classwork  from 68.7% to 96.9%. This study also showed that students’ achievementincrease from 63.7 to 77.19. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of snowball throwing learning model can improve motivation and learning achievement  inscience learning in class V SDN 27 Sago Pesisir Selatan. Relating to such conclusion, it is suggested to teachers to use cooperative learning model snowball throwing in science learning in order to improve students' motivation and learning achievement.
