PENERAPAN METODE DISKUSI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 PAGAI UTARA SELATAN KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI
Abstrak
This study aimed to describe the implementation steps of the discussion method and learning outcomes of students in learning process of Indonesian languageat Junior High School eighth gradeof SMP Negeri 1 Pagaiutara Kabupaten kepulauan mentawai. Djajadisastra opinion(1982) on methods of teaching2 is used as supporting theory,Mulyasa(2009) about being a professional teacher, Parera(1987) studied expression.This research is a qualitative descriptive method. The data of this study isthe recording that has been transcribed, whereas the object of research in the form of the application of the discussion conducted by the teacher. The steps of Data analysis(1) transcribe the student discussions from previously recorded, (2) classifies data based onthe focus of the research, (3) analyzing the data, (4) concludes theresearch and assess the results ofstudent discussionsthat use thescale10.The result of this study have not applyin maximum, from the results of the data analysis shows that the 6 components of the skills to lead the discussion, there are 20sub-components andonly4sub-components are applied by teachers in leading the discussion, while the results of students' understanding of the assessment scale in the range of66-75% with moderate qualifications .Based on the research result that has been conducted by researchers can be concluded that the application of group discussion method only four sub-components that are implemented by the teacher, and the students were able to ge tmoderatevalue.
