Abstrak

This research aim to for description form society appreciation to oral tradition of randai. Randai, isdrama stage of played Minangkabau in esplanade brought by a group of people (20-30 people) pregnant element dialogued, tuturan, dance, music and song . this Research type is research qualitative by using descriptive method. Study focused by at Society Appreciation To Oral Tradition of Randai in Kenagarian Sago Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Source of data for data analysis used by obtained questioner pass/through spreading of equate. Theory the used is theory told by Burning (1979), Soerjono (1993). Source of data for data analysis used by obtained questionnaire pass/through spreading of equate. Pursuant to data analysis obtained by result of research that form of Society appreciation tooral tradition of Randai in Kenagarian Sago Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan because of a questionnaire containing 30 items question were distributed to 100 informant showed only less than 50 informants answer criterion which including into artistic appreciation. From result of research can be concluded that Society Appreciation To Oral Tradition of Randai in Kenagarian Sago Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan oft his artistry have do not be paid attention again its existence either by local government and also society and they more is having an interest in of modern artistry like single organ.
