Abstrak

The purposeof thisstudywas to describethe increase instudent interestin learningcivicsusinga constructivist approachinclassVSDN8KampungBaru, Sijunjung. This type of researchis aclassroom action research. This research was conductedintwocycles, eachcycle consistingoftwo meetingsandonefinal examcycle. The subject ofthisresearchis classVSDN8KampungBaru, whichamounted to19 people. The research instrument usedis theobservation sheetinterests of students, teachersteachingobservation sheetactivities, studentachievement test, field notes, andcamera. From the analysis ofthe observation sheetstudent interestin cycle IandII, the percentageobtainedas follows:intereststudents askedin the first cycle63.16% increase to78.95% in the second cycle, the interest of studentsto answerthe questionin the first cycleincreased57.89% be81.58% in the second cycle, the interest of studentsto complete the taskin the first cycle60.53% increase to86.84% in the second cycle. Basedon this research,note alsothatthe percentageof studentswhoachieve apassing gradein the first cycleby 63.16% with an average of69.21andincreasedin the second cyclewas increased to84.21% with an average of71.32. Thismeanslearningcivicsusingconstruct-tivisme approachcanincreasestudent interestSDNgrade8Kampung Baru. Based on these results, the researcherssuggested thatteachers canusea constructivist approachto learningtoincreasestudent interest.
