PENGARUH PENERAPAN STATEGI LEARNING STARTS WITH A QUESTION (LSQ) TERHADAP PEMAHAMANKONSEP MATEMATISSISWA KELAS X PEMINATAN MIA SMAN 5 PADANGTAHUN PELAJARAN 2014/2015

Abstrak

The main purposes of this research were to find out the students understanding about math conceptually during the implementation of LSQstrategies and to make a comparison of students achievement by implementating this strategies compared to a scientific approach. One of the causes of many math scores of students under KKM is lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students. This research was an experimental research, the research population was all student’s of gradeX Peminatan MIA of SMAN 5 Padang in academicyear of 2014/2015. This research samples were students of XMIA 4 and XMIA 5 class who were chosen by Randomized Control Group Design. The research data was analyzed by using t-test. The results of this research showed that 1) the students understanding under implementation of LSQ strategies become higher compared to the scientific approch. 2) the result of hyphotesis test obtained T-value is 0,9161, it is lower than T-table that  is 2,001 3) the students understanding of math conceptually in experiment class was  not better than the students understanding in control class it can be seen in the result of their test. Based on the result of this research it can be concluded that students understanding of math conceptually under the implementation of LSQ strategies was not better than the scientific approach.
