PERBANDINGAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA MENGGUNAKAN PEMBELAJARAN TUTOR SEBAYA DENGAN PEMBELAJARAN KONVENSIONAL PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA N 1 PANYABUNGAN UTARA

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning outcomes as a result of students who are still reluctant to participate and explored in the learning process, the lack of interest of the students do exercises, students are afraid to ask the teacher, the learning is centered on the teacher, and student learning outcomes is very low, purpose of this study was to compare the results of students' mathematics learning using learning methods Peer tutoring in class X of SMAN 1 North Panyabungan 2013/2014 school year. The hypothesis of the study is the result of class X student of SMAN North Panyabungan using Peer Tutor better than the learning outcomes of students who use conventional learning.

This research is an experimental research. The population is a class X of SMAN 1 North Panyabungan consisting of 4 classes. For the sampling was done by using random sampling, X3 class selected as experimental class and class X1 as the control class. Hypothesis test student learning outcomes were analyzed using t-test.

The results of hypothesis testing obtained t = 4.16 and table = t (0.95; 55) = 1.67 at 95% confidence level. Turns tcount> ttable, meaning that the hypothesis is accepted. So it can be concluded that the results of students 'mathematics learning using learning methods Peer Tutor better than the results of students' mathematics learning using conventional learning in class X of SMAN 1 North Panyabungan. As a suggestion from the author so that teachers can implement Peer Tutor learning method as an alternative to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.
