Abstrak

The purpose of this research is to describe the increase of activity and student learning outcomes in learning civics by using Cooperative Learning Model of type Group Investigation in class V SDN 03 Sungai Abu. This type of research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final exam cycle. The subject of this study is the fifth grade students of SDN 03 Sungai Abu, which amounted to 16 people. The research instrument used is the observation sheet student activity, the activity of the teacher, student achievement test, and field notes. From the analysis of student activity observation sheet in the first cycle percentage of student activity increased by 25% in the second cycle with a percentage of 72%. Based on this research, note also that the percentage of completeness afektf student learning outcomes in asking, express opinions, and draw conclusions also increased from 50% in the first cycle to 81% on sikulus II. In addition, the results also showed that the percentage of students' understanding of learning outcomes that achieve mastery learning on the first cycle of 43.75% with an average value of 65.31 increased in the second cycle was increased to 87.50% with a mean value rata78,13. This means learning civics using cooperative learning model of type Group Investigation can increase the activity and student learning outcomes grade SDN 03 Sungai Abu. Based on these results, the researchers suggest that the teacher be able to use cooperative learning model of type Group Investigation in learning to improve the activity and student learning outcomes
