UNSUR INTRINSIK DAN NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM CERITA RAKYAT DI KECAMATAN KUANTAN MUDIK KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI PROVINSI RIAU
Abstrak
The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the structure, (2) values of character education in folklore at Kecamatan Kuantan Kudik, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Theory used in this study is theory about oral folklore by Danandjaya (1991), theory about intrinsic structure by Semi (1988), and theory about the type of character education by Hasan (2010). This research is qualitative research with descriptive method and object of the research is folklore at Kuantan Kuantan Mudik, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. The number of informants are five peoples consists of two males and three famales. Based on the collecting of data, there found five folklores at Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, they are “Rawang Tangkuluak”, “Kingdom of Kandis”, “Hot Water Natural”, “Marriage Sasuku” and “Guruh Gemurai Waterfall”. Based on the result of analysing data, the writer presented several things, they are, (1) the major theme of these stories told about the history of the name of a place, (2) the background of places thet are plece of research areas/second, the main setting of these stories are setting of place that are the place of research areas, (3) the plot is forward, because these stories told from the beggining until the end, (4) the character of these stories are human being, (5) the message conveyed in this story is prohibited disobedience to parents. Second, the character embodied the character honest, hard working, creative, curiosity, love of country, love of peace, care for the environment, social care, and responsibility. Thus, it can be concluded that the five folklore contained in Kecamatan Kuantan Kudik, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi contains elements intrinsic values and character education.
