Abstrak

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the learning outcomes of students in learning civics using the model Problem Based Learning in class IV SDN 10 Koto Balingka, Pasaman Barat. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final test cycle. The subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 10 Koto Balingka, totaling 28 people. The research instrument used is the observation sheet affective aspects of student, teacher activity observation sheet, test results of student learning, field notes, and cameras. Based on the observation of the average activity of teachers in the first cycle 78%, in the second cycle increased to 86.88%. On average affective student responds 46.42% in the first cycle and the second cycle increased to 80.35%. Based on the results of the study, the percentage of students who achieve mastery learning 67.85% in the first cycle and the second cycle increased to 82.14%. This means learning civics by using the model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 10 Koto Balingka. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that teachers can use in the Problem Based Learning model of teaching to improve student learning outcomes.
