Abstrak

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the biology student learning outcomes Using discovery learning method with constructivism learning in class VII MTsN Geringging River school year 2014/2015. Type of research is an experimental method to the study design Randomized Control-Group Posstest Only Design. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTsN Geringging River in the school year 2014/2015, amounting to 107 people. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique then fixing experimental class I and II experiments conducted random sampling and was selected as an experimental class VII.1 class I and class VII.3 as experiment II. The results showed cognitive aspects of the average value of the experimental class I is 78.05 dan72,08 the experimental class II, affective Assessment experimental class I 82.43 and 80.2 experimental class II and class psychomotor assessment experiment I 83.82 and 82 the experimental class II. Results of statistical tests (α = 0.05) showed significant differences in learning outcomes in get 0.037 <0.05. It can be concluded, that the discovery learning method of learning is higher than using constructivismlearningmethods.
