Abstrak

Abstract

This research is motivated lack of ability of students to observe the time of learning, marked lack of ability of teachers to observe students during the display media and a lack of attention to students when teachers explain the learning so the impact on learning outcomes. This study aims to improve the ability to observe and student learning outcomes and is a class action with students 37 people. The research data obtained through observation sheet activities of teachers and students' ability to observe, test sheet, instrument ratings affective, psychomotor assessment instrument. Mean score observed media observation abilities of the student and the ability to observe students in observing the teacher when explaining the subject matter contained on average in the first cycle was 68.33 and increased in the second cycle with an average of 90.63. Results of cognitive learning knowledge level first cycle there were 26 students who completed up to 70%, an increase of 95% to 35 students who completed the second cycle. The ability of students affective response level first cycle and responsible aspects of cooperation with an average of 67.56 increase in cycle II 82.03. Psychomotor ability students produce the first cycle level reached 68.35 82.53 increased in the second cycle. Based on the study concluded that the ability to observe and student learning outcomes in thematic learning class V SD Negeri 19 ATTS Bukittinggi VIII theme of ecosystems can be enhanced through the model Project Based Learning.
