Abstrak

Abstract
The background study by low activity and learning outcomes math class IV-A SDN 20 Kurao Pagang Padang. The aim of the study to describeincreased in activity and mathematics learning outcomes of students with strategy index card match in class IV-A SDN 20 Kurao Pagang. Type of research is classroom action research. The research was conducted in two cycles. The data source is the class IV-A SDN 20 Kurao Pagang totaly 28 students. The instrument used observation sheets student activity, teacher activity observation sheet, and achievement test. Based on the analysis of student learning activities each cycle has increased. Indicators activity students in questions to teachers in the first cycle 39,28% to 77,78% in the second cycle. Student activity indicator listen or pay attention to explanations other cuoples in the first 53,57% to 85,18% in the second cycle. Student activity indicator answering or responding to a question from another pair in the first cycle of 42,86% to 81,48% in the second cycle. Student learning outcomes using a strategy index card match in the first cycle increased 71,43% to 88,89% in the second cycle. From the data obtained it can be concluded there is increased acticity and learning outcomes in mathematics teaching fourth grade students of SDN 20 Kurao Pagang Padang after using a strategy of index card match. Use of index card match strategy can be used for other subjects in a away that is more attractive in order to get maximum result.
