Abstrak

This study was motivated by the learning process for doing this in the teacher still use the lecture method and learning is still centered on the teacher so that students are less active during the learning process in elementary school Civics 09 Surau Tower Padang. To enhance the learning activities of students in Civics PTK performed using the Model Group Investigation. elassroomsubject of this class is a class V SD Negeri Padang Tower 09 Surau totaling 30 people instrument used this research is observation sheet teacher activity, student activity sheets, sheet student discussions and student worksheet. Based on the results of research conducted average percentage of student discussion activity indicator in the first cycle by 35%. In the second cycle happens an increase to 73.33%. Increased activity on the student task silkus I by 30% and the second cycle occurred increased to 79.99%. While students in the concluding activity of learning materials in the first cycle by 70% and the second cycle occurred increased to 89.99%. From these results it can be concluded that learning civics with Group Investigation model can be used in teaching civics in elementary school 09 Surau Tower.
