PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS V DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA SDN 01 ULAK KARANG SELATAN KECAMATAN PADANG UTARA
Abstrak
AbstractThis research is motivated by the lack of students' skills in reading, both in terms of understanding the content of reading text, find the main idea of reading text, and write the summaries of reading text in V grade SDN 01 Ulak Karang Padang District of South Ulak Karang. The purpose of this study was to describe to increase students' reading skills in V grade SDN 01 South Ulak Karang by using project based learning models. The type of this research used classroom action research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two times of learning and one final test cycle. In each execution cycle,researchers using observation sheet of students' reading skills and observation sheets of implementation learning by teachers,they are consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative. The results of this research showed that using of model Project Based Learning can improve students' reading skills. It is known from (1) important information that obtained by the students while reading (2) a product of the reading skills of students in the form of train departures, flight schedules, telephone directories and list the contents of the book, (3) the percentage of mastery learning students increased from 66,67 increased to 96.97.
